German Tourist Dies In Motorcycle Accident Near Mi-Wuk

Mi-Wuk Village, Ca — A man from Germany who was traveling with a group of motorcyclists from overseas was pronounced dead following a two vehicle accident on Hwy 108 at the Mountain Grill and Deli and Diamond Jim´s Restaurant.
50 year old Dietmar L. Gottschalch was traveling westbound on Highway 108 shortly before two o´clock when a truck ahead of the group pulled off on the right hand side of the road. The vehicle reportedly blocked the view of another truck turning onto the road, and the motorcyclist collided with the driver´s side door. He was ejected from his Harley Davidson.
The man was pronounced dead shortly after being transported to Sonora Regional Medical Center by Tuolumne County Ambulance.
