Two More Workshops Set On General Plan Update

Murphys, CA — In the process of updating the Calaveras County General Plan, county staff and a consultant are touring the county´s towns to collect residents´ input.
Next week the group will visit Murphys and Copperopolis.
Tuesday, May 22, a General Plan Workshop is scheduled for 6 p.m. in the Native Sons Hall in Murphys.
And on Wednesday, May 23, a meeting will be held at 6 p.m. at Saddle Creek in Copperopolis.
There are nine phases to the General Plan update. Phase one and two are currently underway. Phase one is program initiation and two is the creation of a baseline report.
The entire update is expected to be complete by February of 2009.
