Reminder: Fireworks Are Now Banned In Parts Of Calaveras

Mountain Ranch, CA — As fire season is here, two fire districts in Calaveras County are reminding residents that fireworks are banned in their jurisdictions.
Central Calaveras Fire and Rescue and the Ebbetts Pass Fire Protection District both have fireworks ordinances in place that ban the pyrotechnics. Although, special permits can be obtained for organized displays.
The districts wanted to remind residents of these laws as Memorial Day approaches.
Central Calaveras covers Glencoe, Rail Road Flat, Mountain Ranch and Sheep Ranch. Ebbetts Pass covers Forest Meadows, Hathaway Pines, Avery, Arnold, Dorrington, Camp Connell and Tamarack.
