Still No Luck In Finding Missing Yosemite Hiker

Sponsored by:

Sonora, Ca — Yosemite National Park Officials say the search continues today for missing hiker Ottorinna Bonaventura.

100 have now joined the effort from numerous surrounding counties. Not only are they looking for Bonaventura, but also anyone who may have clues to her whereabouts.

“We ask that anyone who was in the backcountry areas around Tuolumne Meadows to give us a call,” says Park Spokesperson Adrienne Freeman. The number to call is 209-372-0778.

The 80 year old from Indiana was first reported missing on Monday, after being separated from her group and failing to return to the Vogelsang High Sierra Camp where she was staying.

Bonaventura is described as five feet tall, with dyed blond hair and brown eyes. Freeman notes that the missing woman is an experienced hiker, but does have a history of memory loss.
