Hacker Disrupts Columbia College Website; No Sensitive Information Stolen
Columbia, Ca — Columbia College Spokesperson Doug Lau says that on Friday, September 7th, the front page of the school´s website was violated by a hacker.
“Then on the next day, the front page was again hacked into and restored a second time,” adds Lau.
Lau notes that students should not fear that the violator was able to view personal information.
“The front page only contains information for the public,” says Lau. “All confidential material such as student grades, classes, etc, is on a different server, and none of that information was ever compromised.”
The school says it has taken steps to prevent this type of thing from happening again. Columbia College does not know who was responsible.
