Copperopolis Home Burns Due To Heat Unit

Copperopolis, CA — A family in Copperopolis is homeless following a fire yesterday.
Copperopolis Fire Chief Dennis Powers says units responded to the home on Aero Road just before 8:00am.
Fire investigators believe the cause of the fire to be a heater inside the home, however the investigation is ongoing.
Powers says three engines, one medic, and one water tender were on the scene for more than three hours battling the blaze. Damage is estimated at $50,000.
