Jamestown Man Stabbed While In Bed
Sonora, CA — A hospital patient led Sonora Police to a stabbing suspect last night.
Police reports indicate officers were called to a local hospital to talk to a stab victim.
Richard Butler told officers that a man came into his apartment and stabbed him while he was in bed.
Police say Richard´s girlfriend, who was in the apartment at the time, recognized the man as being James Hicks.
Officers went to the suspect´s home and took him into custody without incident. Hicks was later transported to Tuolumne County Jail and booked for assault with a deadly weapon. The investigation is on going.
