The Calaveras County Coroner has identified the two people found dead in a Copperopolis home Tuesday morning as 36 year-old A.J. Pugh and 42 year-old Susan Kim McShane, both of Copperopolis.
The Calaveras County Sheriff´s Department is calling it a murder/suicide.
A resident in the area of Black Creek Drive and Copper Cove Drive called 9-1-1 just after 8 a.m. He reported seeing a white van pull up to the home and a man, dressed in camouflage clothing, enter the home carrying a gun. The neighbor says he then heard four to five gunshots.
Deputies the SWAT team and emergency personnel responded. Investigators say McShane was shot multiple times, Pugh once. Both were shot in the head.
The Stockton Record reports Pugh had been arrested in April and charged with beating the woman and threatening violence against her. He was out on 65-thousand dollars bail. He was wanted on a $25,000 arrest warrant for violating an restraining order.
