After five-and-a-half days on the witness stand at Scott Peterson´s murder trial, Modesto Police Detective Allen Brocchini is finally done testifying.
In the Redwood City courtroom this morning, Brocchini testified that Peterson explained in detail to a friend nine years ago how he would dispose of a body.
Brocchini said that during a 1995 conversation, Peterson told the friend that by weighing a body down and dumping it into an ocean, it would be impossible to identify once it surfaced.
Laci Peterson´s body was discovered in San Francisco Bay, along with that of her unborn son. But upon cross examination, Brocchini acknowledged the man called him a day after Peterson was arrested and he later determined he was not very credible.
