Authorities say hundreds of people bought counterfeit tickets to last night’s opening World Series game from scalpers outside the stadium in Anaheim. Police say fans with fake tickets were either turned away at the gate or escorted out of the stadium when authentic ticket holders showed up to claim their seats.

The game with five home runs went to the San Francisco Giants over the Angels 4 to 3. Game Two of the “Best of Seven” series is this evening, also at Anaheim.
