Calaveras County Sheriffs Deputies have arrested three Calaveras County teenagers in connection with a armed robbery last friday of the La Contienta Village Mart in Valley Springs.
Investigators say an extensive search by officers and SWAT team members of five separate homes in the Valley Springs and San Andreas area last night netted Jerry Warden the third, of Valley Springs Jesse Norried of San Andreas, and Samuel Nelson also of Valley Springs… all are 19 years old.
If you recall….last Friday two of the men wearing masks and armed with shotguns entered the store and robbed the clerk at gun point, the third man — armed with a “Tech 9” machine pistol — acted as a getaway driver.
Officers say the weapons used in the robbery have been seized as evidence in the case.
Charges against the trio also include possession of An explosive device, burglary, and possession of stolen property — in addition to the armed robbery and grand theft charges. They are all being held on over $120,000 bail in Calaveras County jail.
