A man has been shot to death by police in Richmond after a domestic disturbance.
It happened at about 10:30 Friday morning. Police say they were responding to a domestic disturbance call when they found 41-year-old Michael Valdez barricaded in an apartment he shared with his girlfriend.
He had his two 18-month-old twin girls with him, and police say he was threatening to hurt them. Police got into the apartment and shot Valdez as he was holding one of his daughters.
Two motorcycle officers who were responding have minor injuries after colliding on their way to the scene.
