Officials Say Rock Slides Are A Natural Occurrence In Yosemite National Park

Yosemite, CA– Yosemite National Park officials have their hands full this summer trying to cope with natural happenings of the area.
Only a week ago, one rock slide occurred near the Merced River followed by another slide on Half Dome only days later. The two rock slides were parts of Half Dome as well as Elephant Rock.
There were no injuries reported. Yosemite National Park official Scott Gediman says both slides were relatively small and that instances like these are natural events and something that just happens on a regular basis.
