Sonora, CA – Adventist Health Sonora will temporarily close its Professional Center clinics and services for two days later this month to accommodate construction on its Digestive Health Center.
Those closures will take place on Friday, November 14 and Saturday, November 15. The shutdown is due to crane activities during the construction of the Digestive Health Center on the bottom level of the building. This new, cutting-edge facility will boost the medical center’s capacity for critical screenings, such as colonoscopies, and provide access to treatment to meet rising community needs.
AHS officials provided a list of offices that will be impacted:
- Community Pharmacy Greenley Road
- GI Lab
- Northern California Spine Institute
- Outpatient Laboratory
- Sierra OB/GYN
- Sierra Pulmonology
- Sonora Cardiovascular
Due to the shutdown later this month, hospital officials relay that all patients with appointments and procedures scheduled on that Friday (11/14) are quickly being rescheduled. Patients impacted by the closure can instead head to two other hospital facilities in Sonora: The Outpatient Lab at the Health Pavilion (900 Mono Way) and Community Pharmacy Stockton Street (220 West Stockton Street in the Downtown Plaza shopping center), which will both be open on that Friday (11/14) and Saturday (11/15). Then, normal business hours for the clinics and services at the hospital will resume on Monday, November 17, 2025.
During the construction at the digestive center, all hospital services will remain open, according to hospital officials, who added, “Construction is expected to finish in late 2026 and open the following spring, pending state licensure.”
