Sonora Beautiful Committee Prepares For Holiday Season

Sonora, CA — The Holiday season is just around the corner, and one organization is putting together plans to make Sonora a beautiful destination.
Sharon Marovich says the Sonora Beautiful Committee will soon begin their annual downtown Christmas project. They will be constructing “swags”, which are pieces of cedar with pine cones and bows. She says the purpose is to add a historic touch to downtown Sonora.
She says the group has been helping to decorate the downtown area for approximately 20 years. The citizen group is comprised of less than 10 members, so she says they are always looking for volunteers to help. You can contact Marovich at 532-6937.
