Seasonal Closures, Service Reductions, In Effect At New Melones

Sponsored by:

Angels Camp, CA — There are reduced seasonal recreational opportunities at New Melones Reservoir as the offseason transition has taken effect.

It allows for natural resource recovery and for the Reclamation team to catch up on maintenance tasks.

Notably, Tuttletown Recreation Area boat launch and campgrounds are closed. The Tuttletown day-use area will remain open from sunrise to sunset (with the gate open from 4 am – 9 pm).

The Glory Hole Recreation Area has the same operational hours for the day-use area, and the boat launch will be open during the limited times of 8 am – 4 pm.

The New Melones Lake Visitor Center and Museum are closed for the season. The Administration building will be open from 8 am – 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Reclamation has lifted the ash-producing fire ban as of November 1st.

Natural Bridges Day Use Area will be open from sunrise to sunset.

The reduced seasonal operations typically run through March 31st.
