Winter Weather Headed Toward Sierra Nevada
Sonora, Ca — A pair of winter storm systems is headed toward the Sierra Nevada.
Cynthia Palmer with the National Weather Service says the first will arrive overnight tonight and into tomorrow morning. Snow levels are expected to remain above 5000 feet.
The levels will dip down, however, for the second system. On Saturday and Sunday, she projects snow as far down as 4000 feet. She notes that through the weekend, the upper elevations could see 12 to 18 inches of snowfall.
Palmer adds that the lower elevations can expect intermittent rainfall. Regardless of the elevation, she says you can expect a cool down in temperatures.
