Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Dept. Seeks Information On Missing Modesto Man
Sonora, Ca — The Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Department would like area residents to keep an eye out for a missing Modesto man.
Anthony Cuevas was last seen on September 17th. According to a friend, Cuevas had quit his job, given away most of his belongings, and planned on moving to Israel to pursue his devout religious beliefs.
Prior to moving, however, he planned on hiking into the wilderness near the Clarks Fork/Kennedy Meadows area. He planned on driving to an unknown trailhead, and spending 40 days at an unknown lake in the wilderness.
Cuevas told friends he would return by Thanksgiving, but did not. He left in a 1986 white Nissan Pickup, with a white camper shell. The vehicle was reportedly seen in the Groveland area on September 21st. Officials say that the photo was taken in 2001 and he now has long hair and has a full beard and mustache.
If you have any information on Cuevas, you are asked to contact the Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Dept.
