High Speed Blamed For Jamestown Rd. Accident
Jamestown, Ca — Driving at a high rate of speed is being blamed for a vehicle accident that blocked Jamestown Rd. Sunday afternoon.
According to the C.H.P., a car driven by 24 year old Christopher Blankenship was traveling southbound and slid into the northbound lane. His car struck a vehicle driven by Carl Gillam of Sonora.
Blankenship´s vehicle then went into the embankment and overturned on top of the hood of Gillam´s vehicle. The vehicle continued to roll, eventually landing upright and blocking the road.
The accident was reported at 4:45pm near the intersection of Golf Links Rd. No serious injuries were reported to law enforcement personnel. Blankenship was transported to Tuolumne General Hospital because of minor pain to his ribs.
