Police Identify Body As That Of Missing Teacher
Lockeford, CA — The family of a missing Placerville teacher have confirmed that the body discovered Thursday in a car on a rural county road near Lockeford is that of 32-year-old Brandy Bidgood.
Bidgood had been missing since Sunday after spending the weekend with her boyfriend at a Fresno hotel. Witnesses say Bidgood´s car had been parked at the location where it was found since at least Tuesday.
According to witness reports, Bidgood had stopped at a gas station on Route 88 Sunday night where she appeared agitated and disoriented. Bidgood then reportedly left with a local man known to be a former convict in the area.
Bidgood was known to suffer from diabetes and family members were concerned that she may not have had her medication with her.
Officials say Bidgood´s body showed no outward signs of trauma. Results of an autopsy performed Friday have not been released.
