Murder Suspects Give Themselves Up to Police

The Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Department was contacted last night at around 8:00 PM by the Monterey County Sheriff´s Department advising that the two suspects wanted for last week´s murder of 48 year old Robert Johannes of Sonora, had voluntarily turned themselves.
Joshua Mejia, 23, and Rachel Demore, 20, are both in custody at the Monterey County jail. Tuolumne County will have up to 5 days to transport the suspects back to Tuolumne County where they will each be arraigned on charges of murder.
