MyMotherLode.com Launches Scanner 911 for Amador County
MyMotherLode.com of Sonora (MML), a division of Mother Lode Internet, announces today the launch of Scanner 911 for Amador County.
The new Scanner 911 is the second in a series of emergency scanner systems to be launched in the Mother Lode and is in addition to the Tuolumne/ Calaveras Counties scanner. MyMotherLode.com originally began putting the scanners on its website as entertainment. The scanners proved tremendously popular and are being used by individuals, residents and emergency services organizations including local, state and federal fire fighting organizations, local police, and CHP. By using the scanner, emergency service groups could monitor emergencies being handled by other branches, often responding to calls sooner. Other cities and counties outside of the region have been logged on to the scanner as well, in an effort to anticipate additional resources they might offer to help with emergencies in the Mother Lode.
“When Susan Snoke of the Amador Fire Safe Council approached us asking if we could create a scanner for Amador County, we were delighted. It fits perfectly with our strategic plan for expansion in the Mother Lode and adds another layer of service to the local community.” said Jason Banks, General Manager of Mother Lode Internet, the parent company of MyMotherLode.com. “Scanner 911 has become an extremely valuable service for property owners, emergency responders, and residents in the Mother Lode. And we are proud to provide it.”
The new Scanner 911 is located strategically in Amador County. It is modeled on the platform currently used for the Tuolumne/ Calaveras Scanner 911. People can listen to the scanner by going to / on the World Wide Web, and clicking on the Scanner 911 link at the top of the page, and then clicking on the yellow “Listen Live” button for the county that interests them.
