Skies should begin clearing and conditions should start drying out by tonight. National Weather Service Forecaster Don Noxin says nearly an inch and a half of rain fell in Sonora between 10 a.m. on Sunday and 10 a.m. yesterday. In the mountains, about seven inches of new snow fell at Dodge Ridge and a foot-plus of fresh powder fell at Kirkwood. Noxin says the clear and dry weather trend should stay in place in the Motherlode for the duration of the week.
