Calaveras County Wildfire Burns One And A Half Acres
San Andreas, CA — The California Department of Forestry and Fire Prevention says a one and a half acre wildland fire burned about an acre and a half in Calaveras County yesterday afternoon.
Captain Fletcher with the CDF says there were no injuries from the fire on Rodesino Road near Mountain Ranch. Fletcher says the fire consumed a small out building at a cost of about $500.
Four CDF engines responded along with one air attack, two air tankers, one helicopter with a helitack crew and one water tender. She says the fire was contained in less than an hour.
CDF says the fire was caused by an escaped debris burn just before 3:30.
