Murder Charged Dropped Against One Of Two Defendants

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — A murder charge filed against one of two men in connection with the death of a Crystal Falls man has been dismissed.

The charge was dropped as a result of a plea agreement reached between the attorney of 23-year-old Joshua Perry and the Tuolumne County District Attorney.

In exchange for dismissing the charge, Perry entered guilty pleas to several felony charges including receiving stolen property.

Perry was charged as a co-conspirator to the crime and apparently wasn´t present when 48-year-old Robert Johannes was allegedly beaten to death and robbed last March.

The other defendant, 23-year-old Joshua Mejia still faces murder charges among others.

Perry could face up to seven years in prison when he is sentenced August 29th.
