Arnold Man Injured While Running From Authorities

San Andreas, CA — An Arnold man is facing charges of resisting arrest and obstruction following a confrontation with Sheriff´s deputies Friday night.

The Calaveras County Sheriff´s Department says deputies went to the home of 22-year-old Jesse Taylor on Shady Circle at about 9:00 to serve three arrest warrants on Taylor.

Reports indicate that Taylor attempted to flee on foot through a wooded area next to the residence.

The chase apparently ended when Taylor tripped over a log and broke his right leg.

The Sheriff´s department says Taylor was placed under arrest and transported to Mark Twain St. Joseph´s Hospital for treatment of his injury.

The original warrants were for felony evading, driving on a suspended license and several probation violations. Taylor´s bail is set at $38,000.
