Bill Canning Sworn In As Council Member

Sonora, CA –The Sonora City Council officially has a new member.
Incoming council member Bill Canning sat with his fellow council members for the first time yesterday. Tim Johnson swore Canning in at the meeting last night.
Canning was a member of the Sonora area Planning Commission and was chosen by Mayor David Sheppard to fill the spot of Marlee Powell, who resigned in July.
Canning will finish out Powell´s term, which ends June 30th, 2008. He won the mayor´s appointment over four other candidates.
