West Point, CA — Another Calaveras County resident has been infected with the West Nile Virus.
Health officials say a 21-year-old from the West Point area was hospitalized in Amador County last month. The first human case in the county was a 53-year-old Valley Springs woman who was reported ill in August.
Although health officials cannot say where the two people acquired the virus, they stress that it is preventable.
