San Andreas Man Seriously Injured In Murphys Grade Accident

San Andreas, CA — A San Andreas man is hospitalized with major injuries following a head-on collision on Murphys Grade Road yesterday.
CHP says 51-year-old Gary Ulisse was traveling eastbound at about 11:00 in the morning while 52-year-old Leslie Shepherd of Murphys was traveling west.
As the two approached a curve Shepherd reportedly crossed the center line and impacted the driver´s side of Ulisse´s vehicle.
The crash caused Shepherds car to leave the road and hit a dirt embankment. Investigators say both parties were wearing seatbelts.
Officials say Ulisse was air-lifted to a valley trauma center. Shepherd suffered minor injuries and declined medical assistance at the scene.
