Sheriff’s Deputies Investigate Death Of Murphys Man

San Andreas, CA — Calaveras County Sheriff´s Deputies are investigating the mysterious death of a Murphys man.
A report says officers were called to a home on Sierra Vista Road to investigate a report of a deceased person.
Deputies arrived at the residence shortly after 7:00 Monday morning to find 68-year-old Richard Mondloch lying face down near an active burn pile.
Investigators say Mondloch was partially burned and may have fallen unconscious because of a medical condition. Mondloch´s body was transported to Angel´s Memorial Chapel.
Authorities are awaiting the results of an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
