Winter Storm Warning Remains In Effect For Southern Sierras
Hanford, CA — A winter storm warning remains in effect for the Southern Sierra Nevada mountains.
Forecasters say a system that has dumped more than three feet of snow above the 7500 foot level will begin to gradually move south.
The national weather service is predicting an additional four to six inches of accumulation by mid-morning. Gusty winds are also possible, causing blowing and drifting snow.
Authorities are warning travelers in the mountain areas to stay informed of the latest weather reports and be prepared for winter driving conditions. Delays and road closures are also possible.
The warning remains in effect until 9:00.
