Shootout Signals Motherlode Roundup Season

It was an April afternoon like any other, when suddenly…

Coyote Sam and his gang accosted the Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Posse as they were leaving Alfredo´s Mexican Restaurant on south Washington Street. The audacious gang even stole the brand new hairpiece of Sheriff Dick Rogers.

“When I got that genuine Elvis toupee, I paid $19.95 on it, mail order from Phoenix, Arizona. It was guaranteed to hide a tank!”

The sheriff said the gun-toting gang was up to no good as usual… but this year, Coyote Sam kicked it up a notch, hacking into the Sheriff´s Department´s computer system.

“We had the password to the computer, so we could get our permit from CalTrans for the parade, and by God, they found the whole thing. I mean, we´re out of luck unless we can get that toupee back along with that password,” said the Sheriff.
