Ground Gave Way Under Tanker
The situation on Poole Station Road in San Andreas could have been a lot worse this morning after a big rig fuel tanker truck overturned and rolled down a dirt embankment.
The truck was from Valley Pacific Chevron out of Stockton. The incident happened on private ranch land just off Pool Station Road. Reporter Mike Taylor from the Calaveras Enterprise says the truck was carrying 3,200 gallons of diesel fuel and 900 more gallons of gasoline.
Fire dispatchers with CDF now say crews have fuel leaks controlled. The truck overturned just after 10 a.m. this morning after soft pavement gave way under the truck delivering fuel to a ranch there. The driver of the truck was not hurt..
Most of the fire and emergency units on scene have now being released, but no word yet on just when that tanker will be put back on it´s wheels.
