High Speed Chase Ends In Jackson

Amador County law enforcement officers used tire spikes to stop two men allegedly driving a stolen vehicle and took them into custody.

The men led officers on a high speed chase through rural areas of Sacramento and Amador counties for an hour and a half this morning after allegedly stealing a car with a small child in it.

The child was released in Sacramento. The chase started a little before 6 a-m in the city of Sacramento.

CHP and Amador county sheriifs officers stopped the supsect vehicle on highway 88 in Jackson where the suspects were ordered out of the vehicle and taken into custody.

Police say the child is safe. They don´t know if the child was purposely abducted.
