Sonora, CA – Motorists may face short delays next week as a paving operation gets underway in Sonora.
The Tuolumne County Public Works Department has hired Sinclair General Engineering Construction, Inc., out of Oakdale to conduct paving operations, forcing a full closure of Lime Kiln Road at the Curtis Creek Bridge. Crews will begin the work on Monday, September 28, 2026, through Wednesday, September 30, 2026, from 7 am to 5 pm.
Public Works says there will be detours in place on Jacobs Road through Wards Ferry Road and Murphy Road. They added, “Please note, access for residents, services, and businesses will remain open during this period but may experience delays.”
Motorists are asked to be aware of all construction signs and traffic control personnel in the cone zone.
