Anthony Abel Pleads Guilty To Fires

Anthony John Abel, the Mountain Ranch man charged with setting fire to two mobile home trailers, has pleaded guilty. The 40-year-old was scheduled to stand trial in Calaveras County Superior Court on two felony charges steaming from the fire that destroyed the trailers which he said were possessed by spirits. Abel will return to court next month for sentencing.
