Injured Hiker Rescued From Bridges Trail

An injured woman was rescued from a Calaveras County hiking trail this weekend.
Sheriff€™s department officials say 63 year-old Judith Marvin of Murphys suffered a dislocated or broken ankle while hiking along Lower Natural Bridge portion of the Natural Bridges trail.
Five different agencies – including local firefighters and members of the Ebbetts Pass and Sheriff€™s Search and Rescue units – carried the injured woman a mile and a half over steep and slippery terrain. It took rescuers more than two hours to get the hiker to a waiting ambulance on Parrots Ferry Road near Vallecito.
