Critical Water Shortage In Some Areas

Some areas of the Mother Lode are in danger of running out of water this weekend.
The Tuolumne Utilities District says there are still three more days until the PG and E water ditch is reopened after annual repairs cut off water to areas of Crystal Falls, Ridgewood, Willow Springs and Big Hill.
TUD General Manager Gary Egger says water levels are at a critical point right now and the water shortage could mean some areas will run out of water this weekend if residents don´t conserve.
The District is requesting that water customers in these areas restrict their water usage to household use only until after the ditch is back on line Monday.
