Bay Area Scouts Can’t Place Flags

Almost 200 holes on city streets in Sebastopol were plugged with concrete in an apparent effort to prevent Boy Scouts from flying American flags today in honor of Veterans Day.

The vandalism forced city workers to spend much of yesterday drilling the concrete out in time for the city´s festivities. Police said they have no motive or suspects in the crime. They speculated that it was done to protest U.S. military operations in Iraq.
