Sonora Woman Injured In Rollover
The “Jaws of Life” were used to help free the driver of a GMC pick-up that overturned on Stockton Road around 11 a.m. yesterday. An Air Med 2 helicopter was flown into the Mother Lode Fairgrounds to transport the injured 21 year-old Sonora resident Jennifer Gower to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto. She was treated for major hip, back, and internal injuries and later released.
Sonora Police closed down the Stockton Road off ramp at the curve under the Highway 108 overpass for an hour while emergency crews worked to free the woman. Sonora Police say the woman lost control of the pick-up truck, slid off the roadway, rolling one time.
