San Diego prosecutors are expected to continue presenting forensic evidence today in the trial of David Westerfield. Yesterday, a San Diego police technician said strands of blonde hair similar to Danielle van Dam´s were found in Westerfield´s bedroom, laundry and motor home. Hair samples were sent to a DNA lab for analysis to see whether they came from the girl. Prosecutors have not revealed the results of the DNA testing. Westerfield is accused of kidnapping and killing seven-year-old Danielle in February. He could face the death penalty if convicted.
