Williamson Act To Get Funding

A state budget committee has approved a bill that restores funding for a farmland-preservation program. The bill restores $39-million dollars for the Williamson Act – which gives farmers tax breaks if they keep their land as farmland for at least ten years. The bill still has to go to the Assembly and Senate.
