Blake’s Lawyer Seeks Bail
Robert Blake´s attorney says a recent court ruling in San Diego may bolster attempts to have his client released on bail during his murder trial. Blake is being held without bail, charged with murdering his 44-year-old wife, Bonny Lee Bakley. She was shot to death May fourth, 2001, in a car outside a restaurant where the couple had just dined. Braun says last week´s ruling by San Diego County Superior Court Judge Herbert Exarhos will be raised during a June 18th bail motion hearing. In that ruling, the judge found the state´s penal code defining the special circumstance allegation of lying in wait was “unconstitutionally vague.”
