Newlywed Woman Poisons Husband

An Escondido woman is behind bars for attempting to kill her husband by poisoning his soft drink.
Police say it happened in Ohio on Sunday when Christina Combs allegedly slipped a narcotic into her husband´s drink at a Taco Bell restaurant.
The couple has been married for three weeks.
Authorities believe the woman was trying to get out of the marriage.
David Combs had a violent reaction to the drink and drove himself and his wife to a hospital in Ohio where the pair was visiting relatives.
Authorities say Christina Combs has confessed to the crime.
She´s been charged with attempted aggravated murder and is in jail in lieu of 500-thousand dollars bond.
