FireWire Firm Bought By Apple

Apple Computer says that it has acquired Zayante, a privately-held company founded in 1996 by developers of Apple´s FireWire technology.
Officials at the Cupertino-based firm didn´t say how much it paid for the Zayante, but says the Scotts Valley company´s president and chief executive will join Apple to promote FireWire technology, which connects accessories such as camcorders to computers.
