“”Memento”” Gets Spirit Award

In the final film awards show prior to tonight´s Oscars, honors for independent films went out last night to “Memento´´ as best feature film, and “In the Bedroom´´ as best first feature. The independent Spirit Awards in Santa Monica included four given to “Memento.´´ Individual awards went to its director and writer Christopher Nolan, and to Carrie-Anne Moss as best supporting female. Chosen for a Spirit Award as best independent foreign film was “Amelie.´´
