Spot Fire Quickly Contained In Soulsbyville

Emergency crews contained a large spot grass fire on the 17 thousand block of Monte Grande Drive in Soulsbyville Sunday morning. Fire crews responded quickly with five engines from Sonora, Tuolumne and Twain Harte and a water tender out of Columbia. The fire was contained in under 30 minutes. Crews will be mopping up in the area for the next couple of hours. No structures were immediately threatened and no one was injured. The fire is under investigation.
