Speeding Results In Injury Accident In Sonora

A speeding pickup truck resulted in an injury accident Washington Street and West Church Street in Sonora Saturday morning.
Robert Gonzales of Jamestown was speeding down Church Street and struck the passenger side of a Honda Coupe driven by 16 year-old Rebecca Weiner. The impact caused her passenger, 20 year-old Joseph Daniel Dixon, to be propelled into the driver´s seat. He was transported to Tuolumne General Hospital with moderate injuries. It is unknown if Dixon was wearing a seat belt.
Both Weiner and Gonzales suffered minor injuries in the collision. The accident is under investigation.
