Two Arrested On Drug Charges In Sonora
Two men were arrested early this morning on Lime Kiln Road in Sonora when drugs and paraphernalia were found in their vehicle.
Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Deputies reported stopping a vehicle for a defective headlight. When the silver sedan was pulled over, the deputy reported the driver, Roger Lee Perkins had his license revoked. The passenger, Matthew Aaron Mathers was found to have a warrant for a parole violation. When the deputy searched the driver, a small bag of marijuana and a ceramic pipe were found.
A further search of the vehicle turned up a scale and a pouch with another pipe and two bags of a white substance and another containing a black, tar-like substance. One of the bags containing the white powder turned out to be a possible cutting agent, while the other contained methamphetamine. The black tar substance was identified as Hashish. Both men were arrested and booked for possession of narcotics.
