CHP Watching For Unsafe Truckers

Sponsored by:

As part of an effort to cut down on truck related accidents, California Highway Patrol officers statewide are
doing a truck enforcement effort. Sonora CHP officer Mike Buller says truck at fault collisions have gone up by nearly a thousand between 1999 and 2000 and
fatal collisions involving trucks have also gone up.

Officers will be looking for and citing truck drivers who do unsafe lane changes, driving too fast,
driving too closely and more. They´ll also be watching for other drivers who may engage the truckers to make decisions on the road that could cause
accidents.
