Calaveras Firefighters Still In Amador County Battling Wildfire

Firefighters from Calaveras County are still in Amador County, assisting crews there in battling a wildfire.
Officials say the fire, on Highway 88 and Jackson Valley Road near Lake Comanche, has burned about 1200 acres. There is one residence and two
outbuildings that were lost in the fire. There´s been no injuries. The fire was apparently started by someone using welding equipment.
Crews expect to
have the fire contained sometime tomorrow morning. It´s now about 80 percent contained. Use caution if you´re headed out there in the meantime.
